Iftikhar

Order of Glory (Tunisia)

Also commonly called the Nichan Iftikhar, which is the name in Turkish for the order. The order was founded in 1835 by the Bey of Tunis and continued to be awarded until 1957. From 1882, there were six classes:

  • Grand Cordon
  • Grand Officer
  • Commander
  • Officer
  • Knight 1st Class, and
  • Knight 2nd Class

Raimund Weisbach was awarded the officer-class of the Nichan Iftikhar.
