HMS Spiraea (Lt. A.H. Pierce, OBE, RNR) picks up 4 survivors from the British merchant Oporto that was torpedoed and sunk by the German submarine U-107 190 nautical miles west of Cape Finisterre in position 42º45'N, 13º31'W.

HMS Spiraea (Lt. A.H. Pierce, OBE, RNR) and HMS Alisma (Lt. G. Lanning, RANVR) together pick up 68 survivors from the British merchant Fort Howe that was torpedoed and sunk by the German submarine U-410 east of Bougie in position 37º19'N, 06º40'E.
