HMAS Adelaide (A/Capt. L.E. Tozer, RAN), HMAS Dubbo (Lt.Cdr. W.J.C. Webb, RANR) and HMAS Horsham (T/A/Lt.Cdr. W.H. Newby, RANR(S)) conducted exercises off Fremantle. Due to bad weather gunnery exercises had to be cancelled. (1)

E.G. Zacher, USNR) conducted exercises off Fremantle with the submarines USS Hake (T/Lt.Cdr. F.E. Hayler, USN), USS Harder (T/Cdr. S.D. Dealey, USN), USS Jack (T/Cdr. A.E. Krapf, USN), USS Flier (T/Cdr. J.D. Crowley, USN) and USS Redfin (T/Cdr. M.H. Austin, USN). (2)

HMAS Adelaide (A/Capt. L.E. Tozer, RAN) and HMAS Dubbo (Lt.Cdr. W.J.C. Webb, RANR) conducted radar tracking and gunnery exercises off Fremantle. They then joined USS Corpus Christie (Cdr. W.W. Childress, USCG) and USS Isabel (Lt. E.G. Zacher, USNR) for exercises with the submarines USS Hake (T/Lt.Cdr. F.E. Hayler, USN) and USS Harder (T/Cdr. S.D. Dealey, USN). (2)

HMAS Adelaide (A/Capt. L.E. Tozer, RAN) conducted gunnery exercises off Fremantle. On completion of which she joined USS Isabel (Lt. E.G. Zacher, USNR) for conducted exercises with the submarines USS Mingo (T/Lt.Cdr. J.R. Madison, USN) and USS Paddle (T/Cdr. B.H. Nowell, USN). (2)

27 Aug 1944
Around 0730H/27, HMAS Adelaide (A/Capt. L.E. Tozer, RAN) departed Fremantle to make rendezvous with the submarine tender USS Euryale (T/Capt. H.A. Guthrie, USN).

Rendezvous was affected around 1750H/27.

They arrived at Fremantle around 1130H/28. (2)

Zacher, USNR) for conducted exercises with the submarines USS Cod (T/Cdr. J.A. Adkins, USN), USS Bluegill (T/Cdr. E.L. Barr, Jr., USN) and USS Hoe (T/Cdr. V.B. McCrea, USN). (3)

Around 0825H/17, HMAS Adelaide (A/Capt. L.E. Tozer, RAN), departed Fremantle to make rendezvous with the damaged submarine USS Crevalle (T/Cdr. F.D. Walker, Jr., USN) coming from Darwin.

Rendezvous was affected around 1815H/19, and HMAS Adelaide took over the escort duties from USS Coucal (Lt.Cdr. D.H. Byerly, USNR).

HMAS Adelaide and USS Crevalle arrived at Fremantle around 1330H/22. (3)
