Tullibee launched a surface attack on a small Japanese convoy. As she closed the target, she fired two torpedoes. One of the torpedoes made a circular run and struck the Tullibee. She sank with all hands except for one survivor who was rescued and spent the rest of the war labouring in Japan's copper mines.
