Career information
Cyril William Byas was born in South Africa. He joined the Royal Navy at the age of 13.
When he retired in the 1950’s he migrated with his wife Pat to Rhodesia. He was killed shortly afterwards in a flying accident which was doing recreational aerobatics. His wife, Pat returned to the UK as she could not settle in Rhodesia and died there (information from a relative of his).
