From Sept 1947 to Feb 1948 he was Commander Naval Port Facilities, Tsingtao, China.
He married on 3 April 1926 in Vancouver, Canada to Renee Dorothy (Palmer) Hibbs. He passed away on 11 May 1960 and is buried at Ft. Rosescrans, San Diego, California.
