| History | In 1939 the Dutch Batavier III was sold to Panama and renamed El Sonador. | ||
| Notes on loss | The El Sonador was reported missing after 17 Feb, 1940 east of the Shetlands. At 00.23 hours on 18 February, U-61 torpedoed a steamer of 3000 tons east of the Shetlands. This must have been the El Sonador. | ||
