History
Notes on loss At 11.16 hours on 28 Aug, 1943, U-302 fired a spread of four torpedoes at a Soviet convoy near Luna Island and observed one hit on the Dikson after a running time of 2 minutes 56 seconds and saw the ship sinking. All hands were rescued by the Soviet tug Severoles (No 18) and later transferred to the Soviet minesweeper T-60.

The convoy designation is not known, but the convoy was escorted by the Soviet escort vessels SKR-75 and T-60
