Notes on loss

On 1 and 2 Feb, 1944, U-453 rammed and sank four sailing vessels (Agia Paraskevi, Salem, Himli and Yahiya) in the Eastern Mediterranean.

At 04.55 hours on 1 February, the Agia Paraskevi (approx. 80 tons) was rammed and sunk by U-453 12 miles northeast off Soueidie.
