History Completed in December 1942 as USS LST-305 for the US Navy. One day later transferred to the Royal Navy as HMS LST-305 under the Lend-Lease Agreement. The LST made its North Atlantic passage in convoy SC-122
Notes on loss At 17.55 hours on 20 Feb, 1944, U-230 fired one Gnat at some landing ships off Anzio and heard a detonation after 13 minutes and 25 seconds. The Gnat probably detonated at the end of its run. At 18.51 hours, another torpedo was fired, which hit and sank HMS LST-305
