built as Dutch Loosdrecht for NV Phs. van Ommeren´s Scheepvaartbedrijf, Rotterdam; 1939 renamed French Franche-Comté for Société Française de Transports Pétrolièrs (SFTP), Paris; 1940 taken over by Britain and renamed Franche Comte by Ministry of War Transport (MoWT).

1945 returned to French owner. 

Notes on event

On 16 March 1941, U-99 attacked convoy HX-112 several times and sank five ships, Venetia, J.B. White, Ferm, Beduin and Korshamn and damaged the Franche Comte. The U-boat was lost after these attacks.
