Notes on loss At 02.48 hours on 10 Jun, 1941, the unescorted Mercier (Master M. Lambé) was torpedoed by U-204 and sunk by a coup de grâce at 02.57 hours. Seven men were killed and six wounded of the 57 crew members, five gunners and six passengers on board.
