Wife of Company Sergeant Major Horace Armstrong, British Army, of New Springs, Lancashire. Her husband was stationed in India with his family and sent them home when war broke out. She perished with her daughters Annie Elizabeth and Joyce, while her other two children Hazel and Kenneth survived the sinking of Yorkshire.
