Personal information
Daughter of Company Sergeant Major Horace Armstrong, British Army, and Margaret Armstrong, of New Springs, Lancashire. Her father was stationed in India with his family and sent them home when war broke out. She perished with her mother and her sister Joyce, while her sister Hazel and her brother Kenneth survived the sinking of Yorkshire.
