Personal information
Son of J.J. and Clara Clark Allon; grandson of Mrs. H. Bolton, of South Shields, Co. Durham. He was awarded the MBE as chief officer aboard the British steam merchant Crackshot in May 1941. His brother James Joseph Allon was in command of HMS Kenilworth Castle during the war and participated in the sinkings of U-744 and U-1200.
