Son of Mr. and Mrs. George Haigh Taylor, of Oldham, Lancashire; husband of Dollie May Taylor (nee Simmions), of Hamilton, Bermuda. He survived the sinking of Empire Endurance, but died of exposure in the lifeboat in charge of the master.
