History

On 22 Dec, 1939, the Hop rescued seven survivors from Carl Henckel and one from Mars and took them to Kristiansand. Both ships had been sunk by U-21 (Frauenheim) the day before.

 
Notes on loss

At 04.17 hours on 4 Feb, 1940, the Hop (Master Kristoffer Luthenthun) was torpedoed and sunk with all hands by U-37 near the Shetland Islands.
