History Completed in December 1919 by Fredriksstad Mekaniske Verksted A/S, Fredriksstad as Fagernes for Skips A/S Fagernes (H.J. Hansen), Kristiania. 1921 sold to Finland and renamed Rosenborg for O/Y Pohjanmeri (G.V. Boden), Turku. 1941 seized by Britain and transferred to the Ministry of War Transport (MoWT). 
Notes on event

At 18.06 hours on 8 June 1942, U-504 opened fire with deck gun at the unescorted Rosenborg (Master William Jennings) east of the Yucatan Peninula after missing the ship with two torpedoes at 17.59 hours. Of the 60 fired shots about 30 were hits and sank the vessel. The master and three crew members were lost. 23 crew members were picked up by the Norwegian motor merchant Geisha and landed at Cristobal, Panama.
