History Built as steam trawler Notts County for Consolidated Fisheries Ltd (Sir John D. Marsden Bart). In September 1939 requisitioned by the Admiralty and converted to the A/S trawler HMS Notts County (FY 250)
Notes on loss At 00.39 hours on 8 Mar, 1942, the HMS Notts County (FY 250) (Lt R.H. Hampton, RNR) was hit by one torpedo from U-701 and sank within three minutes south of Iceland.
