| Notes on loss | On 15 Feb, 1944, the unescorted Epaminondas C. Embiricos was hit by three torpedoes from U-168 and sank about 150 miles northwest of the Addu Atoll. The ship had been missed with a first spread of two torpedoes. Two officers were taken prisoner by the U-boat. | ||
