| Notes on loss | On 6 Jul, 1944, HMS Empire Halberd struck a mine laid on 2 July by U-218 off Lands End. The explosion hit the stern and damaged the rudder. The ship reached Falmouth for temporary repairs and then continued to Glasgow. Late 1944 returned to service as HMS Silvio (F 160). | ||
