| Notes on loss | At 07.14 hours on 7 Jul, 1940, the unescorted Lucrecia (Master C. Smith) was torpedoed by U-34 about 100 miles west of Lands End and broke in two. The master was lost and one survivor later died of wounds. The survivors were picked up by the Portuguese steam merchant Alfarrarede. | ||
