| Notes on loss | At 00.27 hours on 20 Aug, 1940, the Tuira, a straggler from convoy OB-198, was hit by a G7a torpedo from UA and sank after a boiler explosion within 8 minutes southwest of Rockall. The survivors were questioned by the Germans and they asked for the course to Norway because they did not want to go back to England. | ||
