| Notes on loss | At 00.42 hours on 24 Aug, 1940, U-57 attacked the convoy OB-202 25 miles northeast of Malin Head, sank the Saint Dunstan and Cumberland and damaged Havildar. The Cumberland (Master Edwin Arthur J. Williams) remained afloat and tried to reach port, but sank 8 miles 5° from Inishtrahull. Four crew members were lost. The master and 53 crew members landed at Moville, Co. Donegal. | ||
