Notes on loss

At 04.19 hours on 21 Sep, 1940, the Baron Blythswood (Master John Maclarly Robertson Davies) in convoy HX-72 was torpedoed by U-99 south of Iceland. The vessel sank within 40 seconds. The master and 33 crew members were lost.
