History Built as London Commerce, 1928 renamed Royal Prince, 1935 renamed Collegian 
Notes on loss At 06.46 hours on 22 Sep, 1940, the Collegian in convoy HX-72 was torpedoed by U-32 about 320 miles west of Malin Head. The U-boat tried to sink her with gunfire, but she reached port safely.
