| Notes on loss | At 00.58 hours on 27 Nov, 1940, the Irene Maria (Master Alfred Peter Evers), a straggler from convoy OB-248, was hit by one torpedo from U-95 and sank northwest of Rockall. The ship had been missed by two torpedoes at 00.42 and 00.52 hours. The master and 24 crew members were lost. | ||
