| History | HrMs Jan van Brakel escaped from Holland to the U.K. on 14 1940. She served as a convoy escort on the east coast of the U.K. until April 1942 when she was sent to the Dutch West Indies where she also served on escort duties. She returned to the U.K. in late 1944 where she was converted to a depotship for minesweepers. Stricken on 1 August 1957 and expended as a target off Biak. |
