History

While trying to reach Australia from Java on the 8th she was engaged by the Japanese destroyer Arashio off Gili Islands in the Madoera Strait and sunk with heavy loss of life. The Captain survived and was made a Prisoner of War though the Commanding officer of the Eland Dubois who was also onboard didn`t
