History	Sunk by a mine off Normandy, France. The wreck lies in 20 meters of water in position 49º26'06"N, 01º03'39"W. 21 died and 91 of the crew were wounded in the sinking; Amongst those killed was the Commanding officer Lt Cmdr Allard Barnwell Heyward USNR and the Executive officer Lt Cmdr George R Crane USNR was wounded.
