History

Used as a training ship before the war.
Seized by the Royal Navy on 3 July 1940 while at Portsmouth.
Used as a Anti-Aircraft battery by the British.
Disarmed in April 1941.
Later transferred to the Free-French Navy and used as a depot ship.
Expended as part of the Normandy breakwater on 9 June 1944.
The wreck lies in position 49.18.37N, 00.17.13W.
