Decommissioned 4 October 1945.
Stricken 24 October 1945.
Transferred to the Maritime Commission for disposal on 22 September 1945.
Sold to Societe Anonima Navigazione Toscana at Livorno, Italy (Cameli group). Rebuilt in Italy as cargo and passengers vessel from 1949 to 1951, and was in service between the continent (Italy) and the islands of the Tuscan Archipelago (Elba, Capraia, Gorgona and Pianosa), from 1953 until 1972. The ship was renamed Rio Marina (a small town on Elba) and than changed in Portoferraio (the major town of Elba Island).
