Sunk 23 Oct 1943 in the North Atlantic south-west of Iceland in position 57.14N, 27.50W, by depth charges from the British destroyers HMS Duncan and HMS Vidette, and by depth charges from a British Liberator aircraft (Sqdn. 224/Z). 48 dead (all hands lost).
