Descripton: The adventures of the Graf Spee from the outbreak of the war until her scuttling three months later, and the long voyage of the Altmark, supply ship for Graf Spee. The Altmark, a converted tanker, carried more than one hundred British seamen as prisoners of war in her cargo hold on a voyage of several months duration; the ship was tracked by the British Admiralty and the prisoners were eventually liberated in a daring boarding action by the Cossack under Vian off the coast of Norway. Published in the United States as The Altmark Affair.
