Dear Joe,

Thanks for the compliment. The effect does look pretty good so far. As for Amati, I was aware of the kit. But because of its overwhelming size, its cost, as well as a number of admissions of efforts blotched by fatal yet subtle mistakes, I opted to go with Revell. As I may have indicated before, my primary area of interest will be in wooden-plank-on-frame ships. My next task will be an Elizabthan Galley. Then I want to build an HMS Victory. So aside from all the horror stories of throwing a 400.00 kit in the trash (it is available at Model expo for 199.99), the need to economize also paly a factor.
