Hi Jerry,
I have the Planrolle and did not see the scallop or batwing on the early 9c, thus did not bother to look at the late 9. Upon double checking under magnification on my photo I stand corrected. This thing extends from the after edge of the hatch forward towards the middle. It almost looks like a sheet metal cover for the main opening spring?? The plan, unfortunately, does not give much of a clue.
Are you intending to build a 9c after your present project?? Want a hull??
