Hi Greg,
You are quite right in your observations. However, for rigidity of shaft, motors, props and shaftstruts the solid tube system is clearly superior for RC use. That is why we plan to issue different shafts for display and RC models on our 1:40 scale type 7 and 9 this summer. Rgds, RB
