that´s right, jim.
the flag has only been taken out when the boats arrived and departed from the bases.
when they arrived, in addition they used to raise the persicope with little hand-made flags that stand for the sunken ships.
each flag was one ship. white for merchant ships and tankers, red flags for military ships like destroyers and bigger. they used to paint the BRT on the flags.
sometimes there was really a crowd at the scope...
but even more the scope was empty...
