Prinz Eugen von Savoien, *1663, +1736, statesman and field marshall, confidant of three Austrian Emperors was a very real person. In 1697 imperial armies under his leadership defeated the army of the advancing Ottoman Empire (modern day Turkey) in Zenta. That is why Islam never expanded in to Europe north of Kosovo/Bosnia area.
