Apparently it is out in a variety of places but as the only readily available Type VII at a reasonable price it is worth building as it looks the part whan assembled.

Suggestions to beef it up a bit could include, drill out the free flooding holes along the casing and back with plastic card (or paint hull interior black), take time and care to remove the seam lines from the railings, and maybe replace the handrails on the conning tower with wire or stretched sprue.

It's never going to be a 100% accurate replica but it looks like a Type VII and for me that's good enough.
