Modeling and schematics

I have used two piece of balsa's about 36"x5"x4" cost about $12-15 , to shape the hull of a Submarine. You might want to try this idea and then Fiberglass the outer part of the balsa. You can hollow out the middle but be careful as not cut to close to the edge( hard lesson learned ). You do the same for your deck and Conning Tower. You can use a Dremel to make a rough shape of the hull and sand the rest to the exact shape. I did this for a friend about ten yrs ago.
