Dan

Use Enamel Thinners from "Humbrol" and try to remove the red paint..?
But only if you wish too..? Do not use any other thinners as it may damage the plastic.

My suggestion is use HUMBROL EMAMEL matt paints.
Use HUMBROL No. H 27 Sea Grey (matt) for the water line below the hull.
Use HUMBROL No. H 26 or H 5064 Light Grey (matt) above the water line on your U-boat kit, using an airbrush tool . Later when the paint is dry, trying adding some small rust around the sea-vents holes using a "hard" brush with a down motions strokes & also around the conning tower area. You find this will add more details to your model U-boat kit when it is finish..

Just one last tip....use metal shaft (about 2mm) rods to replace the plactic prop shafts in your kit. This will also make your kit look much better.

Cheers & have fun Joe Brennan
