I have one additional question..... Did the Type VIIc have an outer door for the stern torpedo tube. The torpedo was launched between the rudders. I know the torpedo tube itself was designed with a door that opened when the torpedo was launched. There are good photos of the TYPE IX with the external torpedo doors which are very visable. However, I have not been able to get any photos of the Type VIIc stern where I could see the outter door design if it exists. The blue prints don't seem indicate a stern tube outter door exists on the Type VIIc.....
