I don't know for certain, but I think the general feeling si that many boats had everything removed, some did not becasue it just wasn't convenient to drydock them. I'm building U 557 and pardon the pun, I'm in the same "boat" (same yard, same close series. I haven't decided yet, but am leaning to everything being off.
