Hi all of you!!

I have a question: I ahve made two models now of a U-boat (U-99 and U-552) and I thought thgat I had finished them. But on a lot of pictures on www.modelwarships.com there were boats painted with rust on them.
I never made any rust on my boats, because I was too afriad of ruining the paint that was already on them.
Can anyone tell me a good technique to put some rust on my next U-boat project?
