Are you referring to the large round hatches, 1 in front (forward of tower, on port side), 1 in back (behind tower in center of deck)?

I had thought the forward hatch was for an emergency float/bouy, but I could be dramatically wrong.

Regarding the rear hatch being for a "wintergarten", isn't a wintergarten a lower deck extension? If so, then the lower deck would cover where the hatch is.

Just my $0.02 (or $0.01238 after taxes)
