I think that 72-501 will not fit because of the different conning tower. And it has a hole for the deck gun too.

As I see a possible solution could be the bow section of the 72-501 and the stern section of 72-504.

Being this solution quite expensive, I bought in your place the 72-504 deck and build the necessary modifications out of a small balsa piece, or a resin cast, if it could be done from parts of the wooden deck itself.
