Hi!

It was on the 15 th May 1943 in the Nicolas Channel that U-176 was spotted
submerging close to a Cuban convoy,by a Kingfisher.
Pilot dropped depth bombs and a smoke pot.
Cuban 83-foot Sub-Chaser CS-13,commanded by Alferez de Fragata Mario
Ramirez Delgado,closed the smoke,made a good sound contact,
and made two perfect DC attacks, that disposed of U-176.
CS-13 was one of twelve 83-foot USCG cutters transferred to the Cuban Navy
under Lend Lease.
