RE: U-47 Ventilation duct

I have searched through many books and alot of pictures of the U-47 and I will go out on a limb here and say it did not have the central air duct. In the book ENEMY SUBMARINE by WOLFGANG FRANK there is a photo next to page 65 ( photo pages are not numbered in this book ) showing a view of the bridge looking aft, you see a compass,periscope housing , 20mm AA gun and railing but no air duct is shown. Also in this book and in MEIN WEG NACH SCAPA FLOW by PRIEN there are many shots of the bridge but it is crowded with crewmen , I feel there is no duct since it appears to be people standing where this duct should be. This duct is rather large and it seems that there are too many people so close to the periscope housing for this duct to be there, but this is only my opinion
