That's interesting Joe. Appreciate the help. Now I'm curious on the 20mm
AA gun. There is a picture of U-47 in Stern's U-Boats in action coming into
Kiel after the Scapa Flow raid. There is no AA gun on the tower, but appears
to be one on the deck to the rear. So, was the Wintergarten modified on
U-47 to move the AA gun there? The VIIb's I've seen with the modified
wintergarten have either eternal trunking added,or a central duct like U-86.
I am totally confused. Guess as long as no one on U-boat net sees my
model, no one will now the difference. :)
